Private Booking – Reservation of entire Site

Being properly insured is probably the most critical issue facing the organiser of any activity/function these days and the cost of obtaining cover can seem out of all proportion to the nature of the function.

When making a Private booking you agree to take out ALL the relevant insurances to cover ALL eventualities in respect of your booking to include Public/products/employers liability, legal expenses, cancellation etc.

You will need to contact a broker to ascertain the level of cover required for your function, but must include as a minimum – Accidental Injury to any person or loss of or Damage to Property occurring during the Period of use (The booking).

By making a Private booking it is your responsibility to, and you agree to, take out the relevant insurances and you understand that Ditchling Camping will not be held liable for any damage or injury caused and you agree to this condition.

Note that Commercial persons or organisations are also expected to carry their own public liability insurance. A “commercial purpose” is where a person or persons intends to make a profit from the activity, whether one is actually made or not.

For the sake of transparency, this applies without exception: If you are in any doubt as to whether you are covered then you should contact a broker, advise your requirement and obtain your own cover as any damage or injury that occurs during your Private booking will be your responsibility in FULL.

We do NOT allow private bookings that reserve the whole site to be moved to another date or cancelled once a deposit has ben taken. Please take out your own insurance to cover such eventualities.

For the sake of transparency, this applies without exception: including for example where you should leave early due to bad weather, sustain an illness or injury, experience a failure of camping or other equipment, or for any other reason whatsoever. It applies to payments processed online, received face to face or by other available means.
